Coir peat is washed, dried, screened and graded before being processed into coco peat products of various granularity and denseness, which are then used for horticultural and agricultural applications and as industrial absorbent. Dried cocopeat is compressed into 5 kg blocks. Cocopeat has a unique ability to withstand high compression force without leaving its structure. Add water to the block slowly by using 25 liters of water and allow the moisture to be fully absorbed. Once the block is completely reconstructed it gives the yield of 70 – 75 liters. A perfect growing media for flower and vegetables cultivation as well for soil conditioning. Coir pith not only revitalizes your plants, it induces uniformity in root growth by enhancing water retention. Coir pith contains high quality of nutrients that keep the soil healthy in a natural way. It acts as a top dressing that helps maintain moisture and reconditions the soil. It is eco-friendly and bio-degradable.
Based on the Electrical Conductivity we grade coco peat into two types. They are
- Low EC Coco Peat
- High EC Coco Peat
Low EC Coco Peat
Low Ec coco peat is used as Growing mediums. It is versatile growing medium that can be applied to any variety of plant both in agriculture, floriculture & horticulture.
EC Level : Low EC / EC < 0.5mS/cm
High EC Coco Peat
High Ec coco peat is used as bedding in animal farms. Coco animal bedding is ideal as bedding for as floor layer for animal sheds due to its moisture absorbing quality & soft bed cushioning effects.
EC Level: High EC / EC > 0.8mS/cm
